Gas Detection Instrument Expert Alan Skinner
Alan has over 33 years experience working in the gas detection industry.  With his professional history divided among a few of the top gas detection technology producers, Alan brings to BPA a well rounded knowledge base concerning this field of science

Alan has had a hand in every phase of the gas detection industry since 1974.  He started in the industry with J and S Sieger Ltd (Sieger Ltd) in the manufacturing side where he machined, stamped, welded, wired, tested and inspected gas detection systems.  In 1980, Zellweger Analytics Ltd acquired Sieger, where Alan worked his way up to Design Engineering where he developed and tested gas detection systems for ICI, IBM and HP among other customers.  During the 1990s, Alan was in charge of professional engineering teams that designed PLC controlled fire and gas systems for offshore oil, gas and semiconductor industries.  Around the year 2000, Alan moved into sales and marketing while still developing new products.  In 2004, Alan joined Crowcon Detection Instruments for design and business development of fire detection systems.

Many key projects around the world have had Alan's name on them:
  • Main consultant for gas detection systems for the Channel tunnel between England and France
  • Responsible for gas detection during construction and operations of the Heathrow express link between the Heathrow airport and London train stations
  • Design supply and installation for BAA London North sea offshore platforms
  • Design and supply of Gas Detection, Norwegian sector and UK sectors
  • Shell off shore USA, Williams Texas Gas design and supply systems LA USA
  • Upgrading Gas Detection systems for refineries in India via engineers India
  • Other projects in Asia, South America etc, plus many more...
  • Member of the ISA committee for Gas detection creating new Gas detection standards for North America flammable and toxic devices
  • Currently working on new gas detection standards for Toxic Laser instruments, SP92

 

Gas Leak Detector Expert Clint Daniel
Mr. Daniel's military and private sector experience with lasers, risk detection and gas detection make him an important part of the team.
  • Outstanding record of working with the government as Ranger Qualified NCO
    Including working in the Olympic village during the 1996 Olympics as a member of the Special Olympic Law Enforcement Command, working on threat detection.
  • 15 years working with Laser Targeting, including Laser Designation working in Clandestine Surveillance Units in United States Army.
  • 7+ years Operations and Safety manager for Tier 2 Automotive/ Direct consumer with concentration in hydrocarbons and Infra-red analysis.
  • 10+ years military experience in risk assessment and threat management for high risk industrial sites.
  • Experience with Norwegian Army laser target designation
  • International experience in Laser Designation
  • B.A. International Business, science concentration in Physics
  • Member- ASSE
  • Member- ISA
  • Chairman- Environmental Health and Safety Committee, Hall County, Georgia

Approval Experience:
Submitted, and received approval for several General Motors and Ford IR analysis and spectral evaluated products
